Summary

Remedy Tutors are expanding across East London and are looking for passionate, experienced tutors to support students in Hackney, Tower Hamlets & Havering.

If you enjoy working one-to-one and making a genuine difference to young people who need extra support, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

You’ll deliver personalised tuition to students who may need help with:
* GCSE core subjects (Maths, English, Science)
* Gaps in learning or low confidence
* SEND or SEMH needs
* Re-engaging with education after time out of school

Sessions may take place in homes, schools, community settings, or online, depending on the student’s needs.

What We’re Looking For:

* Tutors or teachers with experience in core subjects
* A patient, adaptable, and student-focused approach
* Confidence supporting learners with additional needs
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to plan engaging, tailored sessions
* Teaching qualifications (QTS/PGCE) are valued but not essential with strong tutoring experience.

Your Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver one-to-one lessons tailored to each learner
* Build confidence, motivation, and independence
* Track progress and provide monthly reports
* Adapt teaching for students with SEND, SEMH, or learning gaps
* Use creative strategies to keep students engaged
