Job Summary
To support the activities of the fundraising team with a focus on individual giving, challenge fundraising and donor events, as well as general fundraising administration across the department.

You will be the first point of contact for stewarding Caudwell Youth’s challenge fundraisers and individual giving audience and support the Fundraising Team in driving the Charity’s development, growth and sustainability in line with charitable objectives.

Responsibilities

Challenge And Individual Giving Fundraising:

• Be the first point of contact with supporters taking on challenges for Caudwell Youth or making lower-level one-off or regular donations.
• Steward Caudwell Youth’s challenge supporters and lower-level donors through a personalised supporter engagement process from start to finish, ensuring, effective, courteous and inspiring communications at all times.
• Research and develop challenge fundraising offerings to promote to Caudwell Youth’s supporters.
• Develop compelling fundraising copy to promote Caudwell Youth’s challenge and individual giving fundraising outputs, appeals and campaigns across digital and traditional communications channels including email, social media, website and printed collateral.
• Use Caudwell Youth’s CRM system (Beacon) to segment donors and supporters, ensuring that communications and stewardship is tailored to their individual circumstances and reasons for supporting the charity.
• Carry out administrative work relating to challenge fundraising and individual giving as required.

Fundraising events:

• Support the planning, administration and delivery of all fundraising events and challenges, both in person and online
• Act as a point of contact to supporters attending Caudwell Youth events, providing clear information and encouragement
• Assist with event logistics, including registration, materials, stewardship communications and post event follow up
• Help promote fundraising events through email, social media and website content, working with colleagues where needed
• Support accurate recording of event participants, income and feedback using internal systems
• Contribute to post-event evaluation, helping to capture learning and supporter insights to improve events.
General Fundraising Administration:
• Take the lead on developing engaging fundraising communications, including supporter emails, digital content, and other donor-facing materials, using tools such as Canva and email platforms such as Mailchimp.
• Provide administrative and coordination support for the stewardship of supporters across key income streams, including individual donors, major donors, corporate partners, and grant funders, as required.
• Confidently manage departmental administrative activity on the CRM system (Beacon), ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and clearly maintained, and using data to support effective supporter engagement.
• Support the administration and delivery of fundraising events, including managing invitations, attendee data, follow-ups, and post-event communications.
• Use a range of digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, shared calendars, and collaboration platforms such as Teams) to organise tasks, track activity, and work collaboratively across the organisation.
• Bring creativity to supporter engagement by contributing ideas for campaigns, storytelling, and content that helps build strong, long-term relationships with supporters.

Partnership And Liaison:

• As part of the fundraising team, contribute creatively to new initiatives and ideas discussed and developed.
• Communicate with external supporters and stakeholders as required.
• Work closely with the wider team, including operations and finance, as required.
• Ensure effective, relevant and appropriate communication at all times.
• Represent the Charity professionally and appropriately to other organisations.
