Summary
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Disrepair officer who will be responsible for the operational and administrational management of live Legal Disrepair cases, as well as Environmental Health cases or those considered to be of a more complex nature. Assisting with the management of the contracts to successfully deliver high quality services to the organisation's residents and drive through service improvement measures identified in root cause analysis of the service failures being managed.
Responsibilities include:
Manage disrepair caseload effectively, ensuring that all stakeholders are fully engaged, and target timescales are met on a consistent basis, producing effective reporting to management on caseload performance and risks.
Ensure compliance with disrepair protocol and act as first point of escalation for customer, contractors and solicitors through the lifetime of a disrepair case.
Ensure auditable contract administration with effective systems developed and maintained for the timely and accurate payment of invoices and valuations subject to proper authorisation.
Take responsibility for the resolution of complex and contentious problems understanding political and customer sensitivities. Ensure that monthly key performance indicators from contractors are reported in line with agreed requirements.
What we need from you
Ability to analyse complex situations, define problems, produce acceptable solutions and subsequently implement against tight deadlines.
Fully understand service delivery and how the repair and maintenance service will interface with other sections.
Evidence of providing innovative solutions to the maintenance and repair of engineering plant.
Sound background experience in building services and contract administration of major schemes.
