Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Saltford C of E Primary School is seeking a caring, motivated and child‑centred Teaching Assistant to join our warm and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning, development and wellbeing. You will play a key role in supporting pupils across the school, helping them access learning, grow in confidence and experience success every day.

We are looking for a committed and empathetic individual to provide tailored support for a high‑needs pupil with an EHCP in Year 2, with a particular focus on social communication and social and emotional needs. The role will involve supporting with emotional regulation, helping to access the curriculum, developing social skills, and delivering structured learning support programmes.

As part of our dedicated and compassionate staff team, you’ll help us provide a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment where all children thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

What You’ll Do

• Support children individually, in groups or in class to enhance learning.
• Help maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with planning, assessment and preparation of learning materials.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents and other professionals.
• Provide high‑quality personal care.
• Supervise and support children at playtimes, lunchtimes, trips and activities.
