Summary

This job may start with a vehicle from County Hall or Seaclose Offices, alternatively it may start with a vehicle based at a school across the Island.

The Fleet Management team are seeking to recruit a Passenger Assistants to travel on our School Transport Service vehicles and offer support to the service users.

The role includes assisting with the safety and physical needs of passengers whilst being transported to and from school. You will be in place for one or multiple students who need additional supervision whilst travelling

You will need to be self-motivated with good inter-personal and communication skills, friendly of nature and character with a strong work ethic, flexible and reliable. You will be expected to engage with the services users during the journeys between school and the agreed pick up and drop off locations to reduce distraction to the driver as well as keeping all service users safe, calm and happy whilst being transported.

Passenger assistants will need to complete mandatory training and undertake a DBS check, all of which will be provided through the Council.
