Summary
Healthcare Support Assistant - School Setting
We are working with a supportive and inclusive school that is seeking a Healthcare Support Assistant to provide 1:1 care for a learner with high medical needs within the school environment.
This is a vital role supporting a child to access education safely, comfortably, and with dignity, while working closely with teaching staff and healthcare professionals.
The role:
* Provide 1:1 healthcare and personal care support throughout the school day
* Support a learner with complex and high medical needs in line with care plans
* Monitor the child's health, wellbeing, and medical requirements
* Administer care as trained and directed by healthcare professionals
* Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff and parents
* Support inclusion and participation in classroom and school activities
We are looking for:
* Experience supporting individuals with complex or high medical needs (essential)
* Previous experience in a healthcare, SEN, or school-based setting
* A calm, compassionate, and reliable approach
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Willingness to undertake training specific to the learner's needs
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
