We’re looking for an experienced HR Associate with a strong recruitment and staffing focus to support our managers during a busy and exciting period for the College.

This is a hands-on, people-facing role where recruitment is front and centre. You’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a smooth, compliant and positive experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.
Key responsibilities include:

• Screening applications, coordinating shortlisting and interviews
• Supporting managers to recruit efficiently, effectively and cost-consciously
• Issuing contracts, coordinating inductions and ensuring timely starts
• Maintaining recruitment data, tracking activity and producing reports
• Ensuring compliance with safer recruitment requirements and the Single Central Record
Alongside recruitment, you’ll provide generalist HR support, acting as a trusted first point of contact for managers and staff.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is:
• CIPD Level 5 qualified
• Experienced in recruitment, HR administration and employee relations
• Confident managing multiple vacancies and priorities at pace
• Highly organised, detail-focused and confident using HR systems
• Knowledgeable in employment law and safer recruitment practices

Experience in the FE or education sector is highly desirable, but not essential.
At Truro & Penwith College, we value our people and are committed to diversity, inclusion, and continuous professional development. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team where you can make a real impact.
We offer a generous package with benefits including up to 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays and College closure days, LGPS pension scheme, relocation package, free on-site parking and a variety of on-site benefits and discounts.
