Are you passionate about cutting-edge semiconductor fabrication and excited by the opportunity to support world-class research? We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Nano Technology team, where you will play a key role in developing and optimising advanced micro
- and nano-fabrication processes.
About the Role
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing processes, recipes, and user training across a broad range of semiconductor device fabrication techniques, including:
● Lithography
● Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)
● Dry and wet etching
● Metallisation
● CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarisation)
You will work closely with facility users, equipment engineers, suppliers, and academic departments from across the University. A customer-focused approach and strong communication skills are essential, alongside a commitment to delivering technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and optimise fabrication and testing processes to support cutting-edge research.
● Apply rigorous scientific methods to improve process reliability, repeatability, and performance.
● Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety documentation, and process controls.
● Train and support users on fabrication techniques, equipment, and best practices.
● Ensure high levels of equipment uptime through proactive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
