Summary
Peri-operative Theatre Coordinator - Band 7
This is an exciting time at St Bartholomew's Hospital as we realise a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve services for today’s patients and future generations, creating world class services. This new role is an opportunity to provide expert clinical leadership to out peri-operative areas within the Breast Cancer centre and will involve taking responsibility for the management and organisation of the peri-operative department on a daily basis with the support of the senior nursing team.
You will be an experienced Nurse or ODP with considerable experience at Band 6/7 level in a peri-operative clinical area, ideally with experience gained across more than one professional role. Experience in breast surgery and preferably other surgical specialities including fertility and endocrine surgery is required. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a desire to lead others in providing high quality and compassionate care.

To be responsible for monitoring and co-ordinating activities ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the peri-operative area.
To be responsible for the provision of high standards of peri-operative care in Breast centre Theatres on a daily basis.
To provide visible leadership within the clinical areas, acting as a clinical expert and a resource for multi-professional staff.
Ensure the delivery of a responsive, high quality, value for money service within the speciality area and in conjunction with senior nursing and management colleagues.
