Summary
Immediate Responsibilities of the Appointee The post holder will share clinical duties within the Gastroenterology department with the present medical and nursing team. An office base with administrative support will be provided. Clinical Objectives 1. To provide high quality clinical care in gastroenterology clinics both independently and under supervision2. To provide high quality skills in endoscopy (training available for suitable candidates)3. To provide high quality clinical care to gastroenterology and general medical inpatients at registrar level, supporting junior medical colleagues, but reporting to the consultant of the week. Other responsibilities 1. To participate in the daily running and development of the service2. To facilitate teaching and training within the department3. Participation and involvement in clinical governance, quality improvement and other business in the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy department.
