Summary

Join us as a Credit Sales Associate

This is a regulated, client facing role in which you’ll be responsible for supporting our UK Flow Credit team and Leveraged team in the sale of investment grade and high yield bonds, and building relationships with UK financial institutions

  • You’ll play a key role in developing the business for the Capital Markets platform, delivering insightful feedback and insights, and helping the secondary Credit Trading desk distribute its risk
  • You’ll enjoy significant stakeholder interaction as well as the opportunity to develop your skills in an exciting environment

What you'll do

We’ll look to you to market investment grade and high yield products to UK based financial institutions while promoting the NatWest franchise. The main aspect of your role will be to trade credit cash bonds with our trading desk based in London and collaborate regarding new bond issuances with our European syndicate and Debt Capital Markets teams based in London and elsewhere in Europe.

In addition to this, you’ll:

  • Exchange market information with clients, executing fixed income trades, analysing relative value, and writing trade ideas to provide a value-added sales coverage and help investors maximise the performance of their portfolios
  • Support various capital markets teams by helping the bank’s Corporate and Institutional clients finance their operations
  • Champion our climate and sustainability strategies and goals
  • Grow the business in the region, identifying new business opportunities

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with fixed income product knowledge as well as knowledge of financial markets and the macro-economic environment. You’ll be a good team-player with strong commercial skills, and the ability to serve different external clients and internal stakeholders. In addition to English, fluency in another European language would be highly desirable.

We’re also looking for:

  • A good understanding of clients’ investment constraints, duration matching, credit rating, and yield targets
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
