Summary
Salary: Competitive per annum plus bonus, company car/cash allowance, medical cover and pension
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday + 1 in 4 Weekends)

Are you an experienced operational leader with a passion for delivering exceptional municipal services? Veolia is seeking a dynamic Contract Manager to lead our team in Camden, driving excellence in waste management and community service.
As Contract Manager, you'll lead a team of 135+ employees, managing municipal contracts to deliver outstanding service to Camden Council and local residents. You'll be responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, and building strong relationships with clients, elected members, trade unions, and the community. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll maintain a visible presence on-site, on collection rounds, and throughout the local area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire your team to deliver first-time collection culture and exceed contractual KPIs
- Manage resources (people, vehicles, equipment) to maximize efficiency and service quality
- Ensure compliance with Veolia Minimum Requirements and drive continuous improvement
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with senior clients, elected members, and stakeholders
- Champion safety, inclusion, and employee engagement across all operations
- Oversee budgets, financial performance, and commercial outcomes
- Drive innovation and implement service improvements for customers
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Proven experience leading and developing operational teams, with waste management and commercial portfolio knowledge
- Strong client and multi-stakeholder relationship management skills
- Fleet management experience, along with contract management expertise and experience working with trade unions
- IOSH qualification and senior operational management background
- Service change management capabilities
Desirable:
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification and Transport Manager CPC.
