The RoleWe are seeking adaptable and energetic Day-to-Day Cover Supervisors to support various secondary schools across Barnsley. This is the perfect opportunity for those who want to stay active in education without the pressure of lesson planning, marking, or parent evenings.
Your mission is simple but vital: ensure learning doesn't stop when a teacher is away. You will step into the gap, manage the classroom environment, and guide students through pre-set work, ensuring every lesson is productive and orderly.

What You'll Need- Experience: A background working with secondary-age students (coaching, youth work, or previous school roles).
- A Lead from the Front Attitude: The ability to walk into a new room and establish authority immediately.
- Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to process a new one) and the Right to Work in the UK.
- Professionalism: A reliable, punctual, and well-presented approach to every assignment.
- Dynamic Presence: Commanding the room with ease and confidence.
- Quick Thinking: Moving seamlessly between different subjects, from Maths to PE.
- De-escalation: Staying cool under pressure and resolving conflicts with a level head.

- Classroom Leadership: Delivering the work left by the absent teacher and keeping students engaged.
