Summary
SEN Primary Tutor - Biggleswade
Location: Biggleswade and surrounding areas
Role: Part-time / Flexible 1:1 Tutoring
Focus: Primary Education (KS1 & KS2) & Autism Support
The RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to primary-aged children in Biggleswade. You will work one-on-one with students-primarily those on the autism spectrum-to help them bridge learning gaps, build confidence, and engage with the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver personalised lessons in Core Subjects (English & Maths) at a Primary level.

Adapt teaching methods to accommodate sensory processing needs and communication styles associated with autism.

Foster a safe, low-anxiety learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth.

Monitor progress and adjust learning plans to meet specific EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) goals.

Experience: Proven track record of working with primary-aged children and a deep understanding of autism (ASC).

Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred, but experienced SEN Teaching Assistants or specialised tutors are encouraged to apply.

Skills: Strong behaviour management strategies, patience, and the ability to use visual aids or alternative communication tools where necessary.

Location: Based in or able to travel to Biggleswade.

Compliance: An enhanced DBS check (on the update service) is essential or willingness to have one completed.
