Summary

Payroll Administrator

Location: Pontefract

Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:00-16:30 (occasional weekends/bank holidays)
Contract: Permanent | Onsite

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a well‑established food manufacturing organisation. You'll manage weekly and monthly payrolls, handle queries, prepare reports, and ensure all processes are accurate, compliant, and well‑maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Manage deductions and statutory payments
  • Prepare scheduled and ad‑hoc payroll reports
  • Handle payroll queries and discrepancies
  • Administer pension schemes and maintain records
  • Support process improvements and SOP updates

Skills & Experience

  • Proven payroll experience
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator; organised and proactive
  • Mitrefinch/Advanced experience (desirable)
