A Vacancy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
· To manage the Clinical Engineering Department’s (CED) office and administrative affairs to facilitate the upkeep of medical equipment maintenance and service history records. Act as the administrator for CED asset Database working on improving, slim lining and updating processes for Chelsea & Westminster’s operational sites. Training and supporting staff on the functionality of the Trust’s medical device asset database.
· To liaise with relevant members of staff across the whole Trust, outsourced Contractors, Lifecycle Group Limited and the Clinical Engineering department manager to update and continuously monitor information regarding medical equipment maintained under contract. To collate up to date information for the purpose of reviewing and renewal of annual maintenance contracts for medical equipment ensuring that all service reports are received and recorded and held as authorisation to enable a seamless process for invoice payment.
· Utilise specialised expertise and knowledge in computerised software to accurately administrate the Trusts asset database system that stores essential data for the Trusts stock of medical equipment. This will demand a high level of experience with knowledge of specialised terminology used in software and medical devices.
· The post holder will be working with senior administrator on new MHRA – National Patient Safety Alerts / NatPSA) and Field Safety Notice (FSN) updating as action is underway, ensuring the alerts are returned, in a timely manner and closure of the alerts, having agreed the sign off with the Clinical Engineering Manager.
· To provide continuous monitoring and measurement of external contractor performance and delivery and be the Trust’s key contract interface to ensure all performance standards are maintained and improved.
· To act as the administrator to the promote Trust asset database system, setting up new clinical users on the database and giving advice to those using it throughout the Trust.
· To assist CED members with commissioning of new and disposal of old equipment. Working closely with finance department on submission of necessary disposal documents of capital assets.
· To provide the Trust with a responsive delivery service of medical devices within the Equipment Library and maintain the system records on database and to cover the management of Library services in the absence of the Equipment Library Assistant.
· The post holder is expected to work with the guidance of senior administrator and cover cross-site work with all clinical engineering staff members.
