Crynodeb
Pinnacle Group are looking for a diligent Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. You will be joining our teams who are looking after the grounds on sites across the Castle Point area.
Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations – including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care.
Your role will involve traveling to sites across Canvey Island, Benfleet and Hadleigh and your responsibilities will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, weeding, and general landscape upkeep of grass verges, public gardens, children’s play areas and any grassed areas along public highways.
You will have a keen eye for detail, be physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic. If you are passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful, safe outdoor environments, we would love to hear from you.
This is a fixed term position starting on 2nd March and finishing on 30th September. You will do 29 hours per week in March and hours then increase to 45 hours per week from April onwards.
Hours are as follows –
- March ONLY - 7.30am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday
- April Onwards - 6.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities will include:
- Driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery and equipment
- General maintenance of grounds e.g. grass cutting, clearing of debris, leaves, litter, hedge and shrub trimming
- Planting shrubs, trees and bulbs.
- Use of gardening equipment, powered hand tools and ride on machinery
- Maintenance of vehicles and gardening machinery
Key requirements:
- Full clean UK Driving Licence
- Experience in using gardening power tools
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and safety procedures.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
