Summary

O’Neill and Brennan are currently recruiting for a Plant Coordinator in Shedfield SO32.

The Role

We are seeking a Plant Coordinator to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. The role will be very hands on, it will involve majority outside the office but also elements of working in the office environment too. The ideal candidate will support the operations of the organisation and be an integral part of the team. Working with our small office and yard team, ensuring efficiency and proactiveness within the plant department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain plant tracking software, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records.
• Be creative for us to use our own plant on all sites, if required agree costs and delivery times for externally hired plant.
• Ensure all plant and equipment have relevant certificates and that no equipment is operated with expired certificates.
• Arrange external transport moves for plant, between sites and yard.
• Recording and quarantining plant not fit for purpose and holding sites to account for poorly returned equipment
• Keeping yard well organised and operating efficiently.
• Work with yard team to ensure all plant is fit for purpose, diagnose any issues and resolve so equipment ready for use
• Instruct fitters workload each day to ensure plant onsite is operating efficiently and serviced, certified and ready for use.
• Track and manage company owned formwork and falsework.
• Oversee vehicle fleet, scheduling in-house services.
• Working closely with and reporting to the Buying and Plant Manager.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in plant management with in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook.
• Computer literate.
• Thrives working both as part of a team and independently.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with colleagues and suppliers.

• Mechanical knowledge.
• Experience using Xero.
