Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Sale, M33
Salary: £89 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role?
We are working with a supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Sale (M33) to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs, including Autism, Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Supporting individual pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting learning resources and strategies to meet individual needs.

Providing emotional and behavioural support to pupils with Autism, SPLD, and PMLD.

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent and inclusive support.

Assisting with personal care and mobility, when required.

Contributing to a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages independence and progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:-
Proven experience supporting children with Autism, SPLD, and/or PMLD in a school or specialist setting.

A strong understanding of child development and the barriers to learning faced by children with SEND.

A calm, patient, and proactive approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to follow support plans, differentiate activities, and respond to individual needs.

A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
