A welcoming and high-achieving Primary School in Acton is seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from March. This role is suitable for experienced teachers or ECTs who are passionate about inclusive practice and delivering high-quality teaching within Key Stage 1.
The school has a strong community ethos, a supportive staff team and a clear commitment to developing the whole child in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role
- Full responsibility for a Year 2 class
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, senior leaders and families
Who This Role Is Suitable For
- Experienced Year 2 or KS1 teachers
- ECTs looking for a supportive maternity placement

Requirements
- QTS (or working towards QTS as an ECT)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, including during training placements
- Strong classroom practice and positive behaviour management
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
