We are recruiting a polished, proactive, customer-focused Workplace Host to help deliver an exceptional workplace experience at SMBC’s prestigious London office, located at 100 Liverpool Street.

Job Description

As the first point of contact for colleagues, visitors and VIP guests, you will play a key role in shaping a welcoming, seamless, and memorable environment.​

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-end Front of House setting, enjoys building strong relationships, and excels at delivering 5 star service in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide an outstanding front-of-house and workplace experience, ensuring a warm and professional welcome for all guests and colleagues.

Act as a central point of contact for workplace enquiries, supporting needs across reception, lobby and office floors.

Build strong relationships and deliver personalised service, capturing individual preferences and tailoring support accordingly.

Respond promptly to enquiries in person, by phone and via email, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

Support office events, hospitality moments, wellbeing initiatives and colleague engagement activities.

Ensure all workplace areas are maintained to the highest standards, reporting issues and coordinating with relevant teams.

Conduct floor walks, lobby checks and building tours with confidence and professionalism.

Work collaboratively with workplace management, service providers and internal departments to maintain a polished, efficient and safe environment.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong background in customer service, hospitality, front-of-house or workplace coordination.

Confident communicator with a warm, professional, people focused approach.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.

Positive, adaptable, proactive and solution driven.

Strong organisational skills with a polished and professional presentation.

Good working knowledge of MS Office and general workplace systems.
