Cleaning Operative – Banking Environment (Temporary to Permanent)
Location: Silver Street, Bedford, MK40 1SY
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are recruiting a Cleaning Operative to work within a secure banking / financial services environment in Bedford. This role is temporary to permanent, subject to performance and ongoing site requirements.
Working hours:
Monday: 17:00 – 18:30 (1.5 hrs)
Tuesday: 17:00 – 18:30 (1.5 hrs)
Wednesday: 17:00 – 18:30 (1.5 hrs)
Thursday: 17:00 – 18:30 (1.5 hrs)
Friday: 17:00 – 18:30 (1.5 hrs)
Saturday: 15:00 – 16:30 (1.5 hrs)
Sunday: No work
Duties include:
General cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, toilets, and communal areas
Emptying bins and replenishing consumables
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Adhering to strict health, safety, and site security procedures
Mandatory requirements (banking environment):
Right to work in the UK (must be presented and verified at induction)
DBS check required
Adverse financial check required
Proof of employment history via the GOV.UK employment history service

Comfortable working alone
Able to act as a key holder and operate alarm systems
Willing to use a telephone time & attendance clocking system (mandatory)
Trustworthy, reliable, and security-aware
Each worker will be issued a unique PIN for access and clocking.
