Summary

To contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive administrative and clerical service within Radiology.
To ensure patients Imaging appointments are bookedin a timely mannerand patients queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently to ensure that patients have a positive experience when attending the department.
To work with other team membersin implementing any improvements to the efficiency, and quality of the service, and develop competencies in all areas, whilst keepingup-to-datein their role and providing on-going support to colleagues.
To work flexibly within the to provide administrative support to patients,cliniciansand other Trust Staff.
The departmentoperatesweekdays from 8am to 8pm, and weekends 8am to 5pm. All staff members willbe requiredto work shifts within thistime frame, shifts will vary, and flexibility isrequiredto ensure coverage during all operating hours.
Duties are rotated during the shift.
• Greeting and attending patients on the MRI reception desk, this will include ensuring safety screening questionnaires are completed.
• Greeting and attending patients on the X-Ray reception desk.Additionalduties also performed whilst working on x-ray reception desk alsoinclude;booking in-patient appointments,trackingand attending “walk-in” patients ensuring they go back to the Outpatient Department (when necessary), attending CT patients, taking calls from theatres ensuring theatre patients are booked and attended.
• Pending paper referrals (e.g. private patient and GP) imaging referral forms onto the CRIS waiting list.
• To ensure that Ultrasound and CT clinics are processedin a timely mannerto ensure that the correct activity is captured.
• To ensure that any forms (i.e. LMP forms, CT procedure forms, UndertakingToPay forms etc) are scanned into CRISon a daily basis.
• Report equipment faults to line manager.
• Operate IT systems – ensuring correct data is held on the Trustsystems,andupdateas necessary.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within Trust Policy/guidelines. Referringtomanagerwhen necessary.

• The post holder will ensure the proper use of the Trust’s resources such as stationery, telephone usage, photocopying and other consumablesin the course ofbusiness, ensuring minimal waste and minimal cost
