Join us as a UC Operational Manager and lead a team of Work Coaches dedicated to helping people into employment. This is a dynamic leadership role where you’ll inspire your team, drive performance, and build strong partnerships with the local community to create real opportunities.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to deliver excellent customer service and meet national performance targets.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment where diverse ideas and perspectives thrive.
  • Motivate and empower colleagues through regular feedback, performance reviews, and skills development.
  • Communicate change with clarity and purpose, providing visible leadership and direction.
  • Identify priorities and risks, driving continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to connect people with local labour market opportunities.
  • Support Work Coaches in delivering tailored interventions for all customers, including those with complex needs or disabilities.

This role is an office based, customer facing position covering both Dolgellau & Machynlleth Jobcentres with weekly travel between the two offices.

Hybrid working will not be considered at this time. Travel across the District is expected.
