About the Role
- Step into a leadership position with guidance and support from experienced senior leaders
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and teaching quality across KS3-KS5
- Support and mentor colleagues while developing your own leadership style
- Play a key role in raising standards and driving departmental improvement
- Work closely with SLT to influence whole‑school priorities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong classroom practice and proven ability to raise attainment
- Excellent subject knowledge across the sciences
- A proactive, ambitious teacher ready to step into leadership
- Desire to develop management skills and take on departmental responsibility
