Summary
A fabulous two-day, live-out sole charge nanny position has become available, working with a professional and welcoming family in Weston Turville, Buckinghamshire. This lovely family is looking for a kind, calm and organised nanny who likes to have fun. You should be a dog lover, as the family has two friendly whippets, who would enjoy a walk when possible.
The hours will be 08.00-18.00 on Tuesday and Thursday (20 hours/week). There could be occasional ad hoc additional hours and for babysitting, but these will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
You will be responsible for looking after three happy children – a boy aged five, a girl aged three and their baby brother aged 11 months. The eldest has a diagnosis of autism. He is getting on well in mainstream school, but SEN knowledge would be an advantage to fully understand his needs. He enjoys learning and is particularly keen on maths and science. He has a key person at school that you would need to communicate well with, to understand how his day has been and provide the best support for him.
You will have sole charge of the baby and the middle child. However, the family is looking at pre-school places for her to go a few hours each day.
The children like to be busy and enjoy lots of clubs and activities such as gymnastics, swimming and music groups. As the baby grows, you will be able to take him to groups such as Tumble Tots, etc. They also enjoy indoor activities such as arts and crafts, reading stories and playing games.
Before picking the older children up each day, you will have some time in the house to help keep family life running smoothly. The family employ a cleaner each week, so your responsibilities will include nursery duties such as children’s laundry and ironing, maintaining the children’s rooms and toys, and cooking healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. You will oversee any homework, uniform, sports kit or costumes needed for school each day.
You will end the day with the dinner and bath routine, ensuring that all used rooms are left tidy, ready for when the parents return from work. However, the main priority for this family is that the children are happy, stimulated and loved.
You should be a careful and confident driver, with your own car, and a with a clean licence. Duty mileage will be paid.
