Summary
A warm and professional family of four, based in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, is looking for an experienced and reliable nanny to help ensure the smooth running of their household. The family has two happy young sons, who will be aged 2½ and 1 in July 2026.
This is a part-time position working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 16.45-19.15pm (7.5 hours/week), starting in July 2026.
Alongside general nursery duties, you should genuinely enjoy spending time with children. Part of your role will involve maintaining a tidy home, collecting the boys from their nursery, playing with them, preparing their dinner, and supporting clean-up. At times, you may be required to oversee bathtime, but majority of the time one parent at least will aim to be around for bath and bed.
The family employs a weekly cleaner, so your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the children’s wardrobes and toys, keeping the playroom organised
2. Assisting with the children’s laundry
3. Picking the boys up from nursery (6 min drive away)
4. Keeping the boys happy and entertained with a variety of age appropriate activities
5. Preparing the boys’ dinners (food will be bought/thought-out and sometimes pre-cooked already)
6. A daily reset of key areas such as the kitchen and playroom
7. Sometimes overseeing bath and bed
8. Making sure the boys have everything they need for nursery each day
You will need to be a careful and confident driver, with a clean licence and your own fully insured car. Any duty mileage will be paid.
The family is hoping to find someone warm, trustworthy, and kind—a person who genuinely enjoys working with children, uses their initiative, and brings a positive, supportive energy to their home. They would like to welcome this person into their family for a number of years, supporting them through the children starting school and beyond. A bit about the boys: the eldest is very into birds (penguins especially) and also into cooking / food, he may whip you up a delight from his play kitchen. The youngest loves music and people singing to him. Both boys are so loving, cuddly and adore each other.
The parents both balance working in London and from home and are keen to maintain a calm, loving and happy home.
