We are looking for a Sign Assembler to join our client who are an established family business with over 40 years experience within the sign making industry. Reporting to the Works Manager / Assistant Works Manager, you will be part of the manufacturing team making signs for their clients. These are made up of small independent businesses to large corporate organisations.
As a Sign Assembler you will be working as part of the assembly team working on the final stages of assembling the manufactured signs. The duties of the Sign Assembler will be as follows
- Material Handling
- Working with hand tools
- Building and assembling manufactured signs
- Building sign components including faces and channel letters
- Quality checks
- Reading from drawings and diagrams
It would be an advantage if you have sign making experience or from a background in the below:
- The ability to work in a team
- Experience of working from diagrams and drawings
- Can use hand and power tools
- Has basic electrical knowledge (for working on electrical signs)
- Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle numerous projects simultaneously
- Go out with a fitter and help fit the signs to customers.
