Summary
For aspiring Shop Managers & Area Managers we have a structured, competency-based development tool, focused on supporting individuals to develop confidence and skills in all areas of their role, including online, internal and external training.
From driving our retail vans, to carrying out maintenance on our shops, it takes a whole team to make our retail operation a success; If you are looking to develop your career within our retail team there is a clear path to suit your goals across our shops, retail distribution centre and online platforms.
Retail Shop Manager (Relief), field based, covering Cambridgeshire
(Internally titled Retail Relief & Support Manager)
Full-time- 37.5 hours per week working 5 days over a 7 day week, including weekends
Mandatory weekend working on a rotational basis
Permanent Contract
Salary: £26,340 per annum + Mileage Reimbursement
*Full UK Driving License and own transport - essential criteria for this role*
Are you:
• Able to adapt to last minute changes and flexible to work in different locations.
• Able to work on your own initiative and problem solve.
Do you have:
• Previous retail experience - charity shop experience is preferred but not essential.
• Hands-on approach and the ability to motivate a team of volunteers.
• Experience of maximising sales & generating income.
Responsibilities include:
• Co-ordinate volunteer effort to ensure that the shops maximise their turnover whilst minimising costs.
• Ensure that volunteers are well informed and motivated so that they can develop to their individual potential.
• Maintain a high standard of display, presentation and cleanliness throughout the shops.
• Manage and undertake the sorting, moving and storage of a high volume of donated goods.
• Ensure that all monies are banked, and financial returns completed on a weekly basis.
• Responsibility for all aspects of security – stock, premises, money (retail income and cash donations) and volunteers / staff.
