Job Title: Support worker/Personal Assistant
Hours per week: 4 hours term time and 6 hours in the school holidays. (Dates & times to be discussed and mutually agreed).
Location: Mochdre. Colwyn Bay
Rate of pay: £14.70 per hour
About me:
You will be required to provide support to my active 14-year-old son. He enjoys travelling on the bus and the train, playing with his bike and scooter, swimming and having fun.
The hours of work will be at the weekend and school holidays. I may choose to bank the hours to allow for longer periods of support on some occasions.
Responsible to the mother of the Direct Payment recipient.

The kind of person I am looking for is someone who:
Will need to be reliable and punctual.
Will need to be flexible based on how the hours are worked is required and will be arranged in advance.
Must always adhere to safe working practices and to health and safety guidance.
You will need to show a good understanding of the conditions that he has, these include ADHD, learning disability and ASD.
Has access to a vehicle and have a full UK driving licence, with evidence of the policy including Class 1 business use.
A mileage allowance will be paid to you for any fuel cost accrued whilst carrying out the duties of your role.

Will promote and support confidence and independence.
Has a person-centered approach and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve their goals.
Can follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, to be always maintained.
Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency.
Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non-judgmental emotional support.
Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of the family, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.

Task and duties, to include any or all the following:
Support him out in the community.
To help with toileting and undressing/dressing before/after swimming
Accompany him on public transport.
Play an active part in suitable play and fun activities.
To be observant and always ensure his safety, he can run away from you so you would need to be able to keep up with him.

Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.
Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

The role is dependent upon a DBS and 2 references.
