About me:

I am seeking a Personal Assistant to take my 6-year-old daughter out for activities. She likes water and is keen to learn to swim, and enjoys sensory play and being outdoors. She is very energetic, enjoys jumping and trampolining, and loves animals. A full driving licence and access to a car with appropriate business insurance cover is essential, to take my daughter out in the car. Some personal care may be required, as my daughter can struggle with communication around going to the toilet. She requires supervision at all times to keep her safe.

Task and duties, to include any or all of the following:

To provide support in relation to existing favoured activities, such as going outdoors, swimming, sensory play, or music therapy.
Provide one-to-one care and attention at all times, to keep my daughter safe.
To attend to personal care when required (my daughter requires assistance with communication around toileting).
To always carry a mobile phone. This must be kept charged, for use in an emergency.
It is essential that you have patience and excellent observation, attentional and interpersonal skills, to ensure needs are met.
Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed. Willing to undertake any further training if required.

What you can expect from me:

A safe, friendly, and welcoming workplace where you will be valued.
Flexibility with working hours, particularly during the school holidays.
Supervision and support.
Access to training and learning opportunities.
5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata).
Competitive rates of pay.
Knowing that you provide essential support, making a real difference to myself and my daughter’s quality of life.

The kind of person I am looking for is someone who:

Will promote and support confidence and independence.
Has a person-centered approach and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve their goals.
Can follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, to be always maintained.
Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency.
Is trustworthy, kind, punctual and reliable.
Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non-judgmental emotional support.
Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of the family, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
Can work flexibly, adapting to the variable requirements of this role as required.

The role is dependent upon a DBS and 2 references.
