We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to join our Babies, Children's, & Young People's Division in the position of Community Clinical Service Lead - Child Development & Complex Nursing Services, and this role is offered on a permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week, with working patterns to be agreed upon appointment.
This post will be primarily based at our St. Michael's Community Hospital providing leadership support to the Children's Community functionalities, but will be required to provide support to our North Middlesex, Barnet & Chase Farm, & Royal Free Health Units on occasion.

The Community Clinical Service Lead provides leadership and operational management of staff in a multi-disciplinary service working in partnership with Clinical leads, Matron for Children Continuing Care, Medical and Psychology leads including the ND (Neurodiverse) service lead to provide high quality, clinically directed services within the available resources whilst delivering on agreed performance targets and quality outcomes.
Managing a multi-disciplinary service across Community Paediatricians, Clinical Psychology, Specialist School Nursing provision -Youth Justice nursing, Children Continuing Care, Medical Loan Store and line management to the ND service lead part of an integrated Child Development and SEND Care Group. The service looks after Children with Developmental Concerns, Neuro Disabilities, Long term Complex Needs part of the Child Development service 0-19 years and Specialist Educational provision.
The postholder will be taking the lead in all aspects of Delivery operationally managing multi–disciplinary working arrangements and leading on new care models across the partnership within the Child Development Service inclusive of Statutory functions for Safeguarding, Special Educational Needs Medicals, Looked After Children, Child Death, Adoption /Fostering.
North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.
We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care. We are also a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George’s University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
