Your new role:
As a Deputy DSL and Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the life and educational outcomes for children with SEMH needs and additional needs, by providing expert advice and intervention to their families. You will act as a Lead Professional within the Families First and Early Support frameworks to identify emerging concerns and prevent escalation to statutory services.

Reporting to the safeguarding team and DSL, you will act as a bridge between school and home, providing expert intervention to prevent issues from escalating to statutory services. Your time will be split between triaging "My Concern" reports and managing complex Child in Need cases and direct, hands-on support for families.

Whether you are leading Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, completing Early Support Assessments, or assisting parents with DLA/PIP applications and attendance issues, your focus will be on building family resilience and ensuring the voice of the child remains central to all decision-making.

Experience
Ideal candidate would be from a social care background. The appointed candidate will have at least three years' experience working with vulnerable families. Candidates should have deep knowledge of Early Help frameworks, threshold of needs, and the "Signs of Safety" model.

Working hours:
Monday -Thursday 8.15am-4.30pm

Friday 8.15am-3.15pm
