Summary
Leadership and Supervision Act as a senior clinical leader within the Emergency Department, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to less experienced team members. Participate in departmental handovers, contributing to the efficient allocation of resources and prioritization of cases. Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and senior management to address operational challenges and implement departmental policies. Education and Training Deliver teaching and training sessions to junior medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in formal and informal teaching programs, including simulation-based training and induction for new staff. Support the continued professional development of the multidisciplinary team. Quality Improvement and Governance Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects within the Emergency Department. Ensure compliance with national and local clinical guidelines, protocols, and governance frameworks. Participate in root cause analyses, morbidity and mortality reviews, and the implementation of action plans to improve patient safety.
