Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Rushall Primary School
Purpose:
To deliver high-quality teaching and learning, manage an assigned class, and ensure the safety and welfare of pupils. The role supports the aims and philosophy of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, develop, and deliver engaging lessons for all abilities, following the school’scurriculum and schemes of work.
• Promote pupil safety, well-being, and positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform teaching.
• Support pupils with diverse needs, including those with SEND, high ability, EAL, and disabilities.
• Supervise support staff and collaborate with colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with parents/carers about pupil achievement and well-being.
• Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement.
• Maintain professional standards and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Comply with health and safety policies and undertake risk assessments as needed.
• Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience of successful teaching (EYFS/Primary).
