School AdministratorStart date: 23rd February 2026 Salary: BG7 FTE £26,824 to £28,142 per annum, pro rata £19,020 Hours: 30 hours per week TTO (8.30am to 3.00pm, Monday-Friday inc. a half hour unpaid break) with some flexibility Contract: Permanent, part time, term time only 38 weeks a year plus 1 week INSET training Sefton Park Schools are federated Infant and Junior Schools. The Role We are seeking a friendly, highly organised, and motivated School Administrator to join our welcoming office team. This role is central to the smooth day-to-day running of the school and plays an important part in supporting pupils, families, staff, and visitors. Working closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders, and office team, the successful candidate will help ensure our school office is efficient, approachable, and pupil-focused. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate school activities such as photographs, swimming lessons, and annual reports Organise trips and residential camps, including parent communications, payments, and bookings Provide reception cover at lunchtime and as required Manage admissions and leavers, liaising with school admissions and senior leadership as needed. Oversee Free School Meals and Pupil Premium administration, including voucher distribution Maintain dinner records, liaise with kitchen staff, manage cash takings, and follow up on arrears Liaise with the Nursery Phase Leader on place allocations, eligibility checks, and audit data Communicate with new Reception parents, building positive relationships with families Manage daily administration of Arbor, including attendance, census and year-end processes About You: Excellent organisational and communication skills Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school management systems A friendly, approachable, and professional manner Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous experience of working in a school or busy office environment is desirable but not essential Be able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively We offer: A nurturing, caring and friendly environment Dedicated and motivated staff A supportive community of parents and carers A commitment to ensure that everyone is a valued and respected member of the school community A commitment to continuing professional development Employee benefits include: Local Government Pension Scheme Free wellbeing support – 24 hour access to a counselling and legal advice helpline Cycle to work scheme Excellent work/family life balance due to term time only position Staff discounts
