Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager (Level 3) – Twickenham & Richmond – £38,000

The role involves floating across a group of nurseries in the Twickenham and Richmond area, supporting room leaders and ensuring consistent standards across settings. You will work closely with senior leadership to maintain quality, compliance, and day-to-day organisation, while directly supporting staff and children.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or above
  • Strong working knowledge of EYFS and current Ofsted statutory guidance
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, SEN/Inclusion, and equal opportunities
  • Experience as a key worker supporting children and families
  • Ability to observe, assess, and report on children’s behaviour

Desirable

  • Additional leadership or safeguarding training
  • Experience implementing a blend of EYFS and Montessori approaches

What You’ll Do

  • Support room leaders and staff across multiple nurseries to maintain quality standards
  • Monitor and contribute to children’s learning and development, following EYFS and Montessori approaches
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff, children, and families
  • Observe, assess, and report on children’s behaviour and progress
  • Step into leadership cover as required
