Summary

As a Design Consultant, you'll be the welcoming face of the Karndean brand and the first point of contact for our customers. From the moment they step into our showroom, you'll deliver an inspiring and memorable experience through expert guidance, thoughtful design advice, and exceptional customer service.

With a strong customer-focused mindset, you'll take a consultative approach to truly understand each customer's vision, guiding them towards solutions that bring their project to life. By building strong relationships and using your consultative skills, you'll generate high-quality leads for our local retail partners, while ensuring every interaction reflects the premium quality and values of the Karndean brand.

How You Will Contribute

  • Deliver excellent customer service, creating a friendly, inspiring, and memorable experience for every showroom visitor.
  • Listen to customers and offer expert, tailored advice that helps bring their design ideas to life.
  • Capture customer details accurately and follow up to ensure a smooth, seamless experience.
  • Use your consultative approach to generate high-quality leads for our retail partners.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Karndean products, accessories, and pricing to confidently guide customers.
  • Keep the showroom and samples looking exceptional, reflecting the premium quality of the Karndean brand.
  • Work closely with your team and colleagues across the business to deliver the best possible customer journey.
  • Share ideas and help improve processes, making the experience better for customers and the team alike.


What Will Make You Successful in This Role

  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to share ideas clearly and confidently, both in person and in writing.
  • Strong listening skills, with an open-minded approach to understanding others' views and opinions.
  • Passion to learn and keep knowledge up to date on our product portfolio.
  • A positive, self-motivated attitude, with great attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team spirit, happy to work across departments to achieve the best results.
  • Good time management and the ability to stay focused in a busy environment.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems is a plus, but not essential.
  • Flexibility to cover weekend work and bank holidays on a rota basis.
