Summary

As a project coordinator, your role is pivotal in ensuring Full Circle Food Project (FCFP) delivers its charitable objectives, which are:
1. Providing comprehensive food education programmes that teach individuals of all ages about the importance of nutrition, cooking techniques, and the impact of food choices on health and the environment.
2. Equipping individuals with practical skills to grow their own food through community gardens, supporting local allotments, and promoting sustainable food production.
3. Creating social connections to foster a sense of community and collaboration by organising cooking classes, workshops, and events that bring people together to share knowledge, experiences and celebrations around food.
4. Implementing initiatives to reduce food waste by educating on proper storage, meal planning, and creative use of leftovers.
5. Developing initiatives to reduce food poverty and act as an advocate for policies that promote food security, equitable access to healthy food, and sustainability in food systems.

You will contribute directly to the development and delivery of a range of community cookery classes, a range of educational events such as talks and demonstrations. You will also be supporting our wonderful cookery volunteers in the preparation and serving of healthy nutritious meals.
Main Duties:
The following list is typical of the level of duties which the post holder will be expected to perform. It is not necessarily exhaustive & other duties of a similar type and level may be required.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of FCFP cooking projects, with an agreed budget.
• Develop and deliver hands-on cookery workshops and events teaching cooking skills to a wide range of participants from complete beginners to more experienced cooks.
• Coordinate community cookery sessions in shared spaces, schools, or local community organisations, encouraging participation and long-term engagement.
• Develop learning materials and practical guides to support skill-building in sustainable cooking, food storage, health and nutrition.
• Build partnerships with local communities to identify collaborative working and identify available premises in order to access new participants and new venues.
• Work collaboratively with a range of external organisations to develop new projects and initiatives in response to community needs
• Support the recruitment, induction, management, engagement and mentoring of cookery volunteers.
• Source supplies and stock needed for each project within the agreed budget and taking into account cost savings wherever possible.
• Implement FCFP’s policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of participation, feedback and outcomes to support monitoring, evaluation and funding reports.
• Implement FCFP’s monitoring and evaluation procedures to ensure we capture and demonstrate the impact of each project.
• Represent FCFP on external bodies where appropriate and network with organisations to develop an awareness of FCFP.
• Prepare reports on the progress of the cookery projects and deliver them to the board of Trustees when required to do so.
• Ensure the Health and Safety and Safeguarding of staff, volunteers and beneficiaries at all times.
• Keep equipment in good working order and report any defects as soon as possible.

• Liaise with suppliers and service providers.
• Prepare rooms for service delivery as required.
• Support the organisation with delivery of events.
• Maintain project records for effective monitoring and evaluation.
• Create and maintain accurate records of session attendance and feedback
• Support raising awareness of the organisation through social media, website, and paper systems.
• Uphold confidentiality and data protection regulations in handling sensitive information and documents.
• Keep IT systems updated.
• Participate in learning and development of activities where appropriate.
