- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students with autism, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
- Facilitate engaging and enriching group activities that promote social interaction, communication, and learning
- Collaborate with the client's multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive support plans
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and transitions, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to track student progress and communicate effectively with parents and the wider school community
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest autism-related research and best practices
- Relevant experience working with individuals with autism or other special educational needs
- Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and the diverse needs of students on the spectrum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the personal, social, and academic growth of individuals with autism
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of students
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field (desirable)
