Summary
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our outstanding Student Support team as Student Adviser - Mental Health Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for someone proactive, flexible, and committed to helping students thrive both academically and personally.
In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead in supporting students with mental health needs—empowering them to stay engaged in education and preparing them for the world of work. You’ll work closely with curriculum teams to design and deliver targeted interventions, including small group sessions and one-to-one support. You will also be responsible for creating individual mental health support plans for learners, ensuring tailored strategies are in place to meet their needs.
Your expertise will guide students toward the right resources, from NHS services to community organisations, while providing practical strategies they can use every day. A Mental Health First Aid qualification is desirable, and we’ll invest in further training to help you excel.
Collaboration is key—you’ll liaise confidently with students, parents/carers, and external professionals such as CAMHS and Community Mental Health teams, ensuring a joined-up approach to care. Strong organisational skills are essential, as you’ll also play a vital role in safeguarding and welfare monitoring.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience supporting young people and/or vulnerable adults
• Ability to remove barriers to learning and promote wellbeing
• Skilled in multi-agency working and confident communication
The closing date for applications is 1st February 2026
You’ll have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you’ll be encouraged to upskill.
You can access a wide range of discounts and benefits including a cycle to work scheme, free on-site parking, pension, generous holiday scheme, time off at Christmas and early finishes on a Friday.
