Summary

We are looking to appoint a Healthcare Coordinator to support the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils at a large 11-18 secondary school in Bracknell. This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP.


Salary & benefits:

NJC Fringe Support Staff pay scale, £30,559 - £33,366 per annum (FTE)

Please be mindful that this is a term time only role, so the actual pro rata per annum salary range is £26,392 - £28,259

The role:

You will take responsibility for coordinating healthcare provision across the school, working closely with students, families and staff. Key duties include:

Developing and maintaining individual healthcare plans for students with medical needs

Managing first aid provision, equipment and training across the site

Overseeing the safe storage, recording and administration of medication

Liaising with external health professionals and immunisation teams

Contacting parents/carers regarding illness or medical concerns

Reporting serious incidents and wellbeing concerns to senior leaders and safeguarding staff


About you:

You will have:

A recognised First Aid at Work qualification

Training in supporting conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, asthma and anaphylaxis

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience in a healthcare, education or child-focused setting (desirable)

Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate sensitively and clearly
