We're looking for a friendly, caring and proactive female Support Worker to complete a wonderful team! You'll be supporting a lady with a spinal cord injury who leads a busy, active lifestyle and enjoys the outdoors.
She lives in her family home with two young children, and your role will be to help her embrace life to the fullest while making each day enjoyable and meaningful.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fresh, motivated, and dynamic care package. Experience with spinal cord injuries is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

ROLES AVAILABLE:
o Part time - 1 shift per week
SHIFT PATTERN:
o 09:00-24:00, Sleepover 24:00-08:00, Double up 08:00-11:00
o Each shift starts at 9am working until 11am the next day and includes a sleepover in a dedicated room at the client's home
Bank Holidays and weekend work form part of the rota
PAY RATES:
o £16.00 per hour weekday day rate
o £17.00 per hour weekend day rate
o £80.00 per night sleepover rate
DOUBLE TIME FOR BANK HOLIDAYS
Rates are paid £1.00 per hour less during probationary period
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Providing personal care and medication support
o Supporting with daily living tasks and household duties
o Accompanying the client on outings and occasional family holidays
IDEAL SUPPORT WORKER:
ESSENTIAL:
o Caring, respectful and patient
o Previous care experience
o Flexible, reliable and committed
o Pro-active, positive and enthusiastic
PREFERRED:
o Experience of working in complex care and/or spinal cord injuries

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE: To support your client with their day-to-day living, promoting their independence and supporting them to live a fulfilled life ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
INTERNAL AND MANAGEMENT: This role will report to the Registered Manager
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR SUPPORT WORKER:
Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by:
o Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, household tasks and paperwork
o Assist and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice
o Support and monitor your client's healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks
o Help your clients to access community facilities and be included in community groups, if they so wish
o Understand their communication needs and adapt your own communication style accordingly
o Keep accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide
o Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
o Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
o Participate in learning and development opportunities as required
This is not intended to cover all the responsibilities of the post but to provide some guidance. The post holder will perform any other duties that are deemed reasonable and appropriate by your Line Manager.
As a term of employment, you may be required to undertake other duties and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required. This forms part of your employment contract.
