As a Sales Assistant at Fin & Game, you will be vital in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service. Your passion for fly fishing, especially Salmon Fishing, combined with your sales background, will contribute to creating a welcoming and productive environment for all customers visiting the store.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Greet and assist customers enthusiastically, providing expert advice on fly fishing equipment and opportunities.
Foster a positive and informative shopping experience, building strong relationships with customers.
Sales and Product Knowledge:
Recommend and guide customers in selecting fly fishing products, ensuring their needs and preferences are met. Stay updated on the latest products, promotions, and trends to provide accurate and helpful information.
Point of Sale Operations:
Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Handle various payment methods, including cash, card, and others, while maintaining register accuracy.
Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining a well-organised and visually appealing shop floor, including merchandise displays.
Monitor and restock inventory, collaborating with the team to maintain a diverse, relevant product range.
Customer Support:
Address customer inquiries, provide detailed product information, and offer after-sales support.
Resolve customer issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Promotional Activities:
Actively participate in in-store promotions, events, and sales campaigns to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
Contribute ideas for local marketing initiatives to promote Fin & Game.
Qualifications:
Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a fly fishing or outdoor sports setting.
In-depth knowledge of fly fishing equipment, with a specific focus on Salmon Fishing.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong IT skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Hours:
Full-time, circa 37 – 40 hours per week.
