Department Oak Ward/Imaging

Band 2 £24,465 Per annum, pro rata if part-time

Hours: 37.5 per week, various part time hours available. All MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

Are you customer focused and do you have previous cleaning experience, preferably within healthcare?

Have you previously worked, or are willing to learn, general cleaning duties in a patient environment, and are you passionate about delivering high cleaning standards for NHS patients?

Do you feel comfortable working alongside clinical colleagues, knowing that what you do is an important part of keeping patients comfortable, safe and confident that we all have their best interests at heart?

ADMK are looking to recruit experienced domestic staff for a mix of full-time, flexible and shift, hospital cleaners to join our team. You would be trained, supported and become part of a growing team and organisation.

We are recruiting immediate hires and registering interest for future positions including candidates for whom flexible hours to fit in with other responsibilities, are important.

We are establishing a bank of staff able to work occasional shifts, for instance to cover for absent colleagues or at times when we are especially busy at this large NHS hospital site.

Please note that we are not able to offer sponsorship for this role.

'We care We communicate We collaborate We contribute'

Reporting to the ADMK domestic supervisor, you will work in a healthcare setting, with all members of the domestic team to create a clean and safe environment that enhances the appearance of the facility.

As we are growing, there are opportunities for experienced cleaning supervisors and for people for whom night-time hours are also a preference.

The post holder is to deliver duties as instructed to the required standard, to ensure the hospital is a clean, safe, and welcoming environment always.

Milton Keynes University Hospital, in proud partnership with the University of Buckingham, is a University Teaching Hospital committed to advancing patient care through cutting-edge research and education. With a “Good” rating from the CQC and significant investment underway, this is an exciting time to join our team and grow your career.

As a medium sized general hospital, we provide a full range of general medical and surgical services, including a busy Emergency Department, Maternity, and Paediatrics. As the population of our city and surrounding areas continues to grow rapidly, we are expanding and enhancing our facilities to meet rising demand and improve access to care for all our communities.

We are also proud to offer a growing portfolio of specialist services. In January 2025 we opened our state-of-the-art Radiotherapy Centre, bringing advanced cancer treatment closer to home. Our services also include neonatology, specialist surgical care, and a wide range of diagnostics, supported by the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Whitehouse Health Centre.

Further investment is underway, including the construction of Oak Wards – a new ward block featuring two 24-bed wards – and the recently approved Women and Children’s Centre, set to open by 2030.
