ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.

Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 70-year gentleman, living in the Heath area of Cardiff. I am recovering from an accident which caused injury to my head and to both knees. I have mobility however, unable to walk any great distance. I am looking to employ a personal care assistant(s) to support me accessing activities in my local community.
The PA will provide support to enable me to access local amenities such as cafes and short, easily accessible walks. To keep me safe and prevent falling and support me to maintain my independence away from my close family network.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Supporting me to access my local community.
PLACE OF WORK
Occasionally in my home but mainly in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
6 hours to be delivered as 2 x 3 hour sessions, flexible days and times to be discussed at interview
RATE OF PAY
£14.75 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
To encourage opportunities for social interaction.
To promote independence and always keep me safe whilst out and about.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRE
Someone to be mindful of my conditions
Someone who is patient, reliable, caring, friendly, and chatty.
Someone who is dependable and punctual
Someone who is be honest and trustworthy and adheres to confidentiality
Someone who is focused and engaging as well as motivational when spending time with me.
Essential Car owner driver with class one business use.
