Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: South Ockendon
Pay: £90 to £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate Start
Are you a qualified Early Years Practitioner with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years?
Are you looking for a flexible role where you can choose the days you work?
Do you enjoy supporting young children in a nurturing, engaging early years environment?
I’m Dan, and I have been working closely with early years and primary settings for the past two years, supporting them with all aspects of their recruitment. I’m currently supporting a number of nurseries and primary schools in South Ockendon, and the surrounding areas, who are looking for Early Years Practitioners on a supply basis. There may also be opportunities for longer-term work if this is something you would be open to.
The Early Years Practitioner role will involve stepping into nursery or reception settings when regular staff are absent. This may be for short-term sickness cover or longer-term absences. You’ll support children’s learning and development through play, help maintain routines, and work closely with the wider team to create a safe and positive environment. This is a flexible role that suits practitioners who are confident, caring, and adaptable across different early years settings.
The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years
Experience working within an early years setting
Confidence supporting children independently and as part of a team
A good understanding of the EYFS framework
Strong communication skills and a caring approach
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
In return, you can expect:
A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to support you through an easy onboarding process
Access to our Guaranteed Payment Scheme (T&Cs apply)
CPD courses and certificates through the My-Progression channel
Competitive rates of pay
TeacherActive Referral Scheme – earn up to £100 when you refer a friend (T&Cs apply)
All staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can be confident your tax and National Insurance are handled correctly, with no hidden admin charges.
