What skills and experience we're looking for

Following the relocation of our current SBM, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting time to join us; you will work in close partnership with our new Headteacher, bringing the experience and expertise necessary to help shape and drive the next stage of our school’s success.

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced school business leader and a highly competent manager who will:

• Be a key player in ensuring our continued financial resilience and excellence within a changing educational landscape.
• Oversee the strategic management of the school’s physical and financial assets, inheriting a balanced budget and a well-maintained site.
• Lead our business functions with tenacity, navigating financial challenges while proactively identifying opportunities.
• Manage our resources sustainably, ensuring the school's operational foundations remain unique and highly effective.
• Lead the continued professional development of our talented and creative support teams.
• Work closely with Bristol City Council, the NW24 partnership, and other key stakeholders to deliver the best possible outcomes.
• Demonstrate professional confidence and a collaborative approach as a strategic partner in school improvement.

About You: We need you to:

• Be an experienced professional and highly competent manager with a blend of strategic vision and a collaborative, professional approach.
• Have a proven track record in financial acumen and operational leadership, ideally within an educational or public sector setting.
• Use your strategic thinking and strong interpersonal skills to inspire and enthuse our staff, governors, and wider community.
• Respect and preserve our ethos and values as a proud Local Authority maintained school.
• Have the imagination, tenacity, and resourcefulness to manage complex school operations and budgets.
• Be committed to the continued collaboration and professional development of our hardworking and creative staff.
