Summary
Location: Huntingdon (hybrid working – approx. 2 days per week onsite)
Rate: £23.00 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary, up to 6 months
We are working with a well-established organisation in Huntingdon who are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis.
This role will support the delivery of accurate and timely management information, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support both operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities-
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports

Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments

Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances

Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes

Analysing operating expenditure and identifying trends and efficiencies

Ensuring compliance with financial controls and supporting process improvements
Candidate Requirements-
Graduate or AAT qualified, with progression towards CIMA or ACCA

Experience working in a finance or management accounting environment

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Confident communicator with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders

Strong Excel and MS Word skills

Able to work to deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment
