About the Role
As a Music Technician, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support for our client's specialist music facilities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety and compliance of their equipment, setting up technical resources for lessons and events, delivering technical demonstrations, and providing specialised support to their vibrant community of students and staff.
They are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have expertise in drum tech and backline operations, including drum kit setup, tuning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
What You'll do:
- Collaborate with their Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Set up technical resources for lessons and events both on campus and at external venues.
- Deliver engaging technical demonstrations to support curriculum delivery.
- Maintain and manage their inventory of technical equipment.
- Conduct routine checks and low-level maintenance of technical equipment.
- Support the induction and training of students, staff, and lecturers on the safe and effective use of their facilities.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong proficiency in preparing, configuring, and supporting a range of backline equipment for both live performances and studio sessions.
- Experience working in the music industry or relevant specialist education provider.
- A competent understanding and application of music facilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of their dynamic environment.
- Competent digital literacy.
This is a Zero Hours contract with shifts available between 8:00am and 10:30pm, Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 5:30pm on a Saturday.
